What is LED?

The working method of a LED, or Light Emitting Diode, is very simple. Electricity is conducted to a pinhead-sized microchip that starts to emit light. The structure of LED is enduring and very small in size. That is the reason why LEDs have been used as signal lights and screen lights in different electrical devices for decades. Now the modern LED technology is available for different demanding indoor and outdoor solutions.

The advantages of LED technology are:

Low energy consumption

LEDs consume only a fraction of the energy when compared to traditional incandescent light bulbs, and they do not produce any waste heat.

Long lifetime

The lifetime of LEDs is dozens of times longer than that of a light bulb or a halogen. In addition, LEDs do not have any easily breakable parts such as glass or filament.

Friendliness to the environment

LEDs do not contain mercyry or other substances that are dangerous for the environment.

Small size

LEDs are also suitable for very small lamps.

Fire safety

LEDs are non-heating, which makes them safe to use without a safety distance.

Low voltage

Oversol 12V LED light series are also well-suited for battery solutions.

Pleasant shade of light

Oversol light series are available in two shades: cool daylight white or warm light bulb white.
